Vlad Miriţă - the famous tenor from Targoviste
Born in Târgovişte, on August 2nd, 1981, Vlad Miriță is one of the most famous tenors of Romania.
He started studying music at the age of 16, when he enrolled in the singing classes at the "Octav Enigǎrescu" Art School in Targoviste.
He participated in many national and international events, competitions and festivals. Among these we mention only a few: the International Festival of Choral Music in Zalau, in 1996, where it took second place and the International Festival of Choral Music in Ankara in 1998, where it was ranked third.
In August 2002, he participated in the "National Festival of Light Music in Mamaia" where he took first place in the debutants section, performing a modern song in a classical manner, and in July 2004 he participated in the International Festival Slaviansky Bazar Vitebsk (Belarus), where he was awarded the FIDOF prize for the best stage presence and performance in the competition.
In October 2005 he participated, as a sign of gratitude for the great artist Dan Spǎtaru, at the first edition of the "DanS" festival, where he obtained the second place.
In 2008, he represented Romania, together with Nico, at the Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade, Serbia, singing the song "Pe-o margine de lume", ranking 20th.
