The Way of Light

A unique event in the country, born in Târgoviște, at the initiative of the great artist and professor Mihai Șerbănescu, Calea Luminii is a Christian event, which takes place during Passion Week, more precisely on Holy Thursday.

Calea Luminii is a real street show that brings together sounds, light and thousands of people eager to participate. Every year, the participants, with the help of lighted candles, form a "path of light" on Carol I Boulevard. Thousands of candles are lit on Thursday night in Targoviste and thousands of wishes are expressed in silence.

The Way of Light conveys a strong message of unity, light is a sign of hope and joy, of victory over evil, sin, and darkness.
