Universitatea dispune de 6 cămine studențești, 3 din ele situate în Campusul Universitar (confort de 3 stele), iar celelalte 3 situate în apropierea Facultăților, asigurând un numar total de 1.423 de locuri de cazare. Camerele sunt dotate cu baie proprie, frigider, Internet gratuit, iar mobilierul acestora a fost complet recondiționat în ultimii 3 ani. Fiecare palier al căminelor studențești are o bucătărie complet utilată, apă curentă, cuptor clasic și cu microunde, precum și spălătorie sau spațiu de socializare. The best faculty from UVT in terms of scientific research by attracting funds from national and international projects; public-private partnerships - Schneider Electric Romania, Renault Technologies; covers all university cycles - bachelor's, master's, doctorate; 5 accredited bachelor's degrees, 6 accredited master's degrees Ph.D leadership (IOSUD) in electrical engineering; 40 full-time teachers, about 800 students (bachelor's, master's, doctorate) schooled every school year; international collaborations with 5 EU states (France, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Norway) and about 15 universities; 3 research centers (CC-IEETI, DCEM, AE), 5 research laboratories, 6 student scientific circles; organizer for 1 international conference, 1 national conference, 4 sessions of student scientific communications; coordinator for the BTS (Broadcast Technology Society) chapter and partner in the CIS (Computational Intelligence Society) chapter; over 50 online courses on MOODLE platform; about 24 laboratories renovated in 2009, equipped with high performance equipment for laboratory or research; practice in production - 12 weeks at the level of year III; economic agents involved - Renault, OtelInox, Arctic, Schneider Electric Romania, Blom, N&L PrestCom, Terra Soft - Fonica, Flax Computers, DAF, SEE, Electro Prod Telecom, InfoBit Consult, Avigeo.

Since the academic year 1992-1993 Faculty of Technical Sciences and Technology was founded at the University Valahia by Government Decision no. 288 / 01.06.1992. From the academic year 1993 -1994 Faculty of Technical Sciences and Technology changed its name into the Faculty of Engineering. In 1995 Faculty of Engineering is divided into Faculty of Materials Engineering and Technology and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Currently the two bachelor`s programs of faculty are either accredited ( Materials Engineering and Mechanical Engineering). Since 2005 Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering changes its name to Faculty of Materials Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics. The mission of the Faculty can be synthesized as follows: - training competent engineers with both the industry and for research and education. - serves the scientific and technological center for industrial enterprises operating in the area. - training complex future specialists enables them to effectively use systems and equipment, apply modern techniques of production and new technologies in various fields. - training future specialists is made on the basis of flexible curricula. Doctoral School of Mechanical Engineering was accredited by the Order MECTS no. 4966 / 31.08.2010, after the evaluation made by committee of the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Spot. Since the academic year 2012 - 2013, Faculty of Materials Engineering Mechatronics and Robotics change its name to the Faculty of Engineering Materials and Mechanics.

In response to a growing demand for environmental education, food processing technologies as well as food safety, and mountain area agriculture, especially in less advanced countries, the FIMSA developed several science curriculum for life sciences available for students starting with early 1992. The current science programs emphasized disciplinary strength but with sufficient integrative courses that students were able to gain an appreciation of the complexity of societal demands and the need for interdisciplinary investigations of the stringent problems and solutions that we are confronting nowadays. The mission of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Food Science is to train specialists with high professional, general and specialized skills. Besides professional training, the mission of the faculty is reflected in the creation of social, human, intellectual and spiritual values. This goal includes graduates’responsibility regarding the implementation of the three security-nutrition-food safety norms, environmental protection and sustainable use of naturel biogical resources by humans, and also rural development. Environmental Engineering and Protection in Agriculture (Bachelor Degree Studies) and Systems of Control and Evaluation of Environmental Quality (Master Degree Studies) aim to train specialists in the fields of conservation, environmental planning and systematization of agricultural land. Technology of Agricultural Products Processing (Bachelor Degree Studies) and Food Control Expertise (Master Degree Studies) have the mission to train specialists in the field of raw materials and food conditioning and production of processed foods with high biological value and high degree of innocuity, in accordance with European standards. The specialization of Mountain Agriculture (Bachelor Degree Studies) aims the formation of engineers in agricultural, horticulture, animal breeding and land exploitation sciences in the hilly and mountainous area.

Our institution is presently one of the most representative in Valahia University. It is recommended both by the number of students attending its courses and the results that made it known. Its particularity derives from the fact that it reunites three different fields of study: history, geography, physical education and sport. In our vision, they are related through the common objectives of the educational activities starting with the graduate level and later through the master’s degree and doctoral degree that we offer, aiming to educate our graduates and postgraduates as remarkable intellectuals with harmonious and competitive abilities in the professions for which we prepare them. In the educational process, the students have extended options to take at every level in what concerns the technical facilities, the guidance provided by our faculty members, the scientific research activities that we closely monitor and enlarge every year, the intense exchange of students and faculty members with many other European universities. These features also reflect the preferences of the increasing number of students who chose to attend our courses. Such a reality honors us and also obliges us to insure a clearer individuality to our institution, a well defined position among other institutions with a similar profile at home or in Europe.

The Faculty of Law and Administrative Sciences from the prestigious Valahia University of Targoviste, ensures an high class academic training in the field of legal and administrative sciences. The educational offer of the Faculty is materialized through educational programs, law and public administration license courses, with continuous learning and distance learning, as well as master degrees programs: Business Law and European Public Administration, programs of studies accredited by ARACIS. The teaching activity is carried out by valuable teachers with national and international visibility, in accordance with the curricula adapted to the requirements of the current European requests and connected to the European credit transfer system. The scientific research is illustrated by the magazine Valahia University Law Study, publication indexed in international data bases, the Center for Research in Social Sciences and from the numerous national and international scientific events organized by our faculty. Also, the relations of cooperation with similar institutions in the country and abroad, with the various authorities and professional organizations and reference publishing houses in the country define the fundamental concern to form highly qualified specialists, affording effective and prestigious activities held within the faculty.
