Cinematograful Independenţa, clădire simbol a orașului Târgoviște, a fost construit în anul 1970 şi a funcţionat pânǎ în anul 2006. Suprafaţa construită a cinematografului este de 1.400 de mp. Clǎdirea a fost preluatǎ în administrare de către Primăria Târgovişte, de la Regia Autonomă de Distribuţie şi Exploatare a Filmelor ”România Film”, în anul 2010. În anul 2019, Primăria Târgoviște a dat startul lucrărilor de reabilitare a Cinematografului Independența. Valoarea investiţiei s-a ridicat la 8.800.000 de lei, printr-un proiect derulat prin Compania Naţională de Investiţii. În anul 2021, Cinematograful Independenţa a fost dat în folosinţǎ, dupǎ reabilitarea ş imodernizarea clǎdirii. Cinemotagraful este spaţios, dotat, cu o salǎ generoasǎ şi administrat de Primǎria Târgoviste prin Teatrul Municipal Tony Bulandra. Pe 10 decembrie 2021 a rulat primul film la Cinema Independenţa, dupǎ 15 ani de aşteptare. Este clasificat în prima categorie în funcţie de condiţiile oferite spectatorilor şi deţine cel mai mare ecran de proiecţie Cinema din România. Filmele ruleazǎ de miercuri pânǎ duminică, iar în funcţie de solicitări se pot stabili și alte zile sau alte ore. Sâmbătă şi duminică ruleazǎ filme pentru copii începând cu ora 11:00. Programul este diversificat şi poate fi urmǎrit pe site-ul www.cinema-independenta.ro . Tot de pe site fi achizţionate bilete online pentru filmul dorit. Cinematograful Independenţa este un punct de atracţie pentru târgovişteni şi nu numai, întrucât este singurul din oraş.

The "ODISEU" theater is a nonprofit semi-professional culture institution operating within the KUBART Cultural Association established by the director and playwright Ștefanis Lupu, on March 1, 2016. Mission The "ODISEU" theater aims to develop the artistic level of the productions and to attract the young audience through shows specific to our days. At the same time, the theater team, under the stage director management and playwright Stefanis Lupu, relies on an accentuated update of the contemporary repertoire, as well as on a category of stage directors and playwrights who have been ignored so far by our scene: those from the generations who studied and affirmed after 1989.

Tony Bulandra Theatre is an alive and kicking repertoire theatre. It finds its reason of being in the need for Beauty and in the desire to offer it to the spectators. The aesthetic, the artistic Beauty which is above all human classifications, inherited ever since the ancient populations.  Our theatre is a laboratory of transforming the profane elements in sacred ones, of elevating the being above being through modern approaches of prestigious national and international directors on plays from the worldwide theatrical patrimony.  It works with and for young people, because they are the ones that experience each time the wonder of being. In search for contemporary texts and young dramaturgy, the theatre is trying to fulfill, through the tackled themes, the need of a community theatre, aware of the present social context.  Tony Bulandra Theatre has a past, a present and a future. It places signs on the Time lapse in order to perpetually (re)gain the path to the Soul.
